OUR WORK
Academic Development and College Readiness
Social Emotional Development
Computer-Assisted Career Development
We use data to help us focus on academic, career and social emotional development for all students.  Students achieving success are developing college and career readiness skills, attitudes, and beliefs.
School counselors work closely with teachers to contribute to the academic achievement of all students. They learn to: •  calculate a GPA •  plan for UC/CSU "a to g" requirements •  create an eight-year success plan Students that are struggling participate in academic group counseling.
School counselors help students create their online career portfolios. Students learn to coordinate learning style and career assessments with: •  two career paths •  two post-secondary options •  hobbies, interests, and volunteer opportunities •  financial management strategies (8th grade)
School counselors create and present curriculum lessons to all students. They learn to: •  create a school wide culture of kindness •  practice anti-bullying behavior •  develop conflict resolution skills Students that are struggling participate in anger management and youth connection counseling.
