Introduce new genres and encourage students to create reading lists
Choose several titles each from a number of genres and types of books Set one table per genre; place one book at each setting and extras on serving trays Seat Students and give them a few minutes to "taste" their books (read front and back covers, and one or two pages) then jot first impressions on their "reflection napkins;" trade with another student at the table and repeat All parties reset their tables and move to the next genre to sample and switch again and again as time allows Reserve time at the end so students may check out books, if desired
