Principal's Message
Principal Seana Condit-Gordon
There was a 74% decrease in suspensions from the previous school year (2015-2016) to this school year (2016-2017). Our school counselors contributed to this success, as they are teaching our students about anti-bullying and conflict resolution.

The counseling team presented guidance curriculum on the California A-G college admission requirements to all eighth grade students. Correct Answers Results: Pre-test: 27% Post-Test: 82%.

Our Achievements
of Bret Harte teachers have been trained on restorative justice practices.
During Bullying Prevention Month in October, students hand out bracelets of inclusion and sign a pledge to stand up to bullying.
of 7th grade students attended our annual assembly called "A Nightmare on Puberty Street." It covers themes on coping with peer pressure and early adolescence.
30 professionals from different fields showed up to Career Day in May 2015.

Our school counselors worked with the AVID and Puente Programs to facilitate visitations to 9 college campuses in 2015-2016.

We will establish 6-year plans for all students.
We will create a safe environment for all students and be a consistent adult in their lives who can provide them with the right resources.
