Tennyson's school counseling team is committed to encouraging and supporting academic achievement, social/emotional development, and career exploration. The team strives to promote excellence in every student by developing positive relationships within the school, families, and the community.  Our team works with other stakeholders to create an atmosphere that is based on respect for learning and for the students who attend our school. Our school counselors provide many supports through their direct and indirect work with students. Our team focuses on supporting all students to be college and career ready by focusing on academic proficiency and the mastery of 21st century skills. They also focus on closing the achievement gap for struggling students, establishing positive school expectations, and promoting positive school climate.  They develop strong relationships with students, which improves campus safety.
Principal's Message
Principal George Mitsopoulos
100% of students have four-year plans as a result of meeting with our school counselors. Our school counselors meet with every student at at each grade level to ensure that all students develop four-year plans. During the development of individual four-year plans, the counselors advise students for successful goal setting and post-secondary planning. The school counselors then enroll students in courses based on each student's individual needs and interests.
