Can you believe our library checked out over                this school year?!

we have awesome readers here at MGE!
In May, we will continue with our BOOK-TASTING DISPLAY at the front entrance of the Media Center. Here, you will find a book-tasting menu and a book from each genre of our collection to increase understanding of the different types of books we have. Students are encouraged to take a menu and "taste-test" the different genres. Once they have looked through the book, they can check it off their list! They may also check the display books out if they like it. If they try out each genre and show the list to Mrs. Bumgarner, they will get a bookmark.

As the year comes to an end, we should take a moment to promote summer reading with our students to help them build their literacy skills! This summer's Collaborative Summer Library Program is "Build a Better World".  We will have a Summer Reading Assembly on May 22nd for all grade levels to help promote this with our kiddos. Let me know if you need any help with summer reading promotion in your classroom, including booktalks, grade leveled booklists or event information from our local public library for your students! Click the Pinterest link below to check out a ton of fun activities from the CSLP that go along with this program!
