In order for confidential communication to be protected, Illinois state law - the Illinois Domestic Violence Act (IDVA) - requires that individuals working directly with victims of domestic violence have a minimum of 40 hours of domestic violence training.
Completion of all 40-hours of this training course is the necessary first step toward becoming an Illinois Certified Domestic
Violence Professional (ICDVP).
Between Friends is an ICDVP approved training and supervision site.
