Identify your Credential Candidates
1
Credential Candidate Prerequisites:
1.  Credential Candidates must hold a California Preliminary Credential. 2.  Credential Candidates must be in a teaching assignment that correlates with the credential type they are enrolled to clear.          - e.g. CTE Credential Candidates must be teaching a CTE/Vocational Education Course. 3.  Credential Candidates must have access to a personal or district computer and internet connection to complete online assignments.
Teachers Employed under the Following Permits are Not Eligible for an Induction Program:
- Intern Teaching Credential - Provisional Internship Permit - Short Term Staff Permit - Emergency Substitute Permit

Match your Credential Candidate with a Mentor
Mentor Prerequisites
1.  Mentors must hold a Professional Clear California Credential which is a match to that of the Credential Candidate. 2.  Mentors must have three or more years of effective teaching experience. 3.  Mentors must have knowledge of the context and content of the Credential Candidate's teaching assignment. 4.  Mentors must demonstrate commitment to professional learning and collaboration. 5.  Mentors must have the ability, willingness, and flexibility to meet the Credential Candidate's needs for support. 6.  Mentors must have the availability to attend seven seminars or Mentor training sessions held throughout the year from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. 7.  Mentors must possess basic computer skills (e.g. Google Docs, word processing, web navigation, e-mail, and file downloads). 8.  Mentors must have access to a personal or district computer and internet connection to complete online assignments.

If the Credential Candidate Holds a:
Multiple Subject Credential
Multiple Subject Credential in a similar grade level
Education Specialist Credential: Mild/ Moderate
Education Specialist Credential: Mild/ Moderate or Moderate/ Severe
Education Specialist Credential: Moderate/ Severe
Education Specialist Credential: Moderate/ Severe
Career Technical Education Credential
Any Professional Clear California Credential   (preferably with experience in CTE/vocational education)  
The Mentor Must Hold a:
Single Subject Credential
Single Subject Credential in a similar content area
Wait for Confirmation of Enrollment

After receiving the three online forms, our staff will verify credentials to determine the eligibility of Credential Candidates and Mentors.   Administrators, Credential Candidates, and Mentors will receive an e-mail confirmation of enrollment after eligibility is confirmed.
June 21: Enrollment Opens
August 3 - August 11: Year One Orientation
August 10: Enrollment Deadline
Important Dates
- Year One Credential Candidates are required to attend an Orientation Seminar.   - Year One Credential Candidates will RSVP for an Orientation Seminar via their Credential Candidate application.   - The Orientation Seminar is not required for Year Two Credential Candidates. - Orientation Seminar options are as follows:
August 3rd from 8 AM - 12:00 PM - Red Bluff August 7th from 8 AM - 12:00 PM - Redding August 8th from 8 AM - 12:00 PM - Chico August 9th from 8 AM - 12:00 PM - Susanville August 10th from 8 AM - 12:00 PM - Yreka August 11th from 8 AM - 12:00 PM - Web-Conference
