School Counseling Program Profile 2017
Principal's Message
Mrs. Monica Portugal
Home of the Brave Knights: Where College isn't a Dream, but a Plan.
Edgewood Academy's school counseling program aligns with the American School Counselors Association.  Ms. Montes, our exceptional counselor is committed to developing a comprehensive school counseling program that encourages and supports the whole child addressing their academic, social and emotional needs; while promoting college and career readiness.   Ms. Montes lead and implements Student Success Teams (SST), 504 Plans, and individual academic goal- setting plans. These are conducted on a weekly basis or as needed. We create a safe and positive school climate by implementing our Positive Behavior Intervention Support system (PBIS).  Students attend assemblies that focus on our school’s expected positive behavior inside and outside of the classroom.
