Grades:
Kids spend a lot of time indoors and in front of screens. Give them a chance to meditate on the world around them. Set aside 15-20 minutes each week or month for a reflective walk. Direct students to talk less and listen more. Encourage students to be mindful of their surroundings, take in the scenery, and think. Then set up a writing exercise based on the walk.
Instructions:
This can be a specific directive, such as write five sentences to describe a tree
or
a general instruction to be observant and to put their thoughts in writing.
