If Xmas was a Brand
If Xmas was
a Brand
Google, McDonald's, KFC..., these are    some of the most successful brands in the world. You know them, you choose them, maybe you even recommend them. And if you don't like them, well, you can simply ignore them.
But there is one, one that has done better than any other, one that you can't ignore, even if you try (but why would you, really?!)

... It's Christmas!!
Christmas is here! But it has not always been as we know it
The first recorded Christmas celebration dates to Germany in the 8th Century AD
Christmas, as we know it today, was an invention of the Victorians in the 1860s
Today over 160 countries officially celebrate Christmas around the world!
From pagans to Coca-Cola
The date for Christmas was probably chosen to coincide with the ancient pagan festival Saturnalia
Branches from evergreen trees were part of Saturnalia traditions. Germans first adopted them as symbol of Christmas
Santa Claus delivering presents comes from Holland’s celebration of St. Nicholas on December 6
Santa's traditional red suit comes from a 1930s ad by Coca-Cola
Santa Claus (or Father Christmas)
is the image of Christmas...
But in some countries it's Baby Jesus, or St Nicholas, or St Lucy...
Or the Three Kings
Who brings the presents??
Despite its critics calling it a commercial holiday, there are things that never change,,,
But Xmas is still Xmas!
And did you know?
“White Christmas” is the best-selling song of all time

The word "X-mas" comes from the Greek, where X means Christ

"A Christmas Carol" by Dickens is one of the most popular short works of fiction ever written
Christmas is magic!!
Christmas is togerness
Christmas is a time for family
Not only that, but...
Since 2009 Santa has his own Twitter account with over 412K followers

Santa also has an official address (Powered by UK Mail):  Santa/Father Christmas Santa's Grotto Reindeerland XM4 5HQ

Most kids believe in Santa until the age of 8 or 9, although access to the internet might change this... (Google anyone?!)

What’s Coming Next
Santa with Rudolf and the other reindeer, of course!
