San Mateo County's Health Information Technology Division is seeking a qualified 
IS Business Analyst II to join their team.


The individual will perform complex and technical systems maintenance, operational duties, and/or modification of application systems.

  • Serve as a liaison between system users and information technology staff, vendors, and service providers;   
  • Provides technical and analytical support and training to system users;   
  • Performs system administration functions to ensure security and effective operation;   
  • Develops and maintains a variety of automated files, records, and databases;   
  • Prepares and distributes new procedures, training materials, and a variety of scheduled and adhoc reports.

  • Azure is a comprehensive set of cloud services that developers and IT professionals use to build, deploy, and manage applications through MS global network of datacenters. The Health System will use this platform to increase our depeancy on the HIE and as another hosting option beside ISD datacenters bases in San Mateo/Redwood City.  
  • Electronic Document Management (EDM) is the management of different kinds of documents in an enterprise using computer programs and storage.  An EDM system allows an enterprise and its users to create a document or capture a hard copy in electronic form, store, edit, print, process, and otherwise manage documents in image, video, and audio, as well as in text form. The Health System will start with Aging and Adult Services Division as the fisrt division to go live with this application and workflows.
  • Case Management Application is the planning and coordination of health care services appropriate to achieve the goal of medical rehabilitation. The Health System is in the process of a large project for EHR2.0 but this will not meet the needs of case management. This application will impact at least 6 divisions within the Health System.

Work Schedule: The division has CORE hours between 9am - 3pm. Staff can select a work schedule to reduce commute time to and from the office. 

Paid Holiday and Leave Accrual: 12 annual paid holidays; Vacation Accrual: 4.0 hours per pay period; Sick Leave Accrual: 3.7 hours per pay period
