Our School Counseling Program 
Social/Emotional Development
There was a 74% decrease in suspensions in 2016-2017.  Bret Harte counselors comtributed to this success by implementing restorative justice practices and conflict mediations.

attended and participated in Ally Week in efforts to eliminate bullying on campus. 
Academic Achievement 
The counseling team worked closely with these students through weekly check-ins, tutoring contracts, and guidance lessons. Their efforts contributed to the  number of students at-risk of retention decreasing from 65 to 30.
School Counselor classroom presentations helped increase career development skills for students. Students were able to envision their future and skills necessary in achieving those goals.
