How does pie have to do with photosynthesis? Libby's famous Pumpkin Pie Recipe: 3/4 cup of granulated sugar Sugar is found in the tissues of most plants mostly in sugarcane or sugar beet. 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon Cinnamon comes from the bark of a tree called cinnamomum. 1/2 teaspoon of salt Salt is a mineral so it was never living. This the only ingredient that doesn't have to do with photosynthesis. 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger Ginger comes from a ginger root. 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves Cloves are flower buds of a tree. The clove tree is an evergreen. 2 large eggs Eggs are from chickens. Chickens eat weeds, plants, veggies and lots more. 1 can of Libby's 100% pure pumpkin Pumpkins are from a seed.
