How does pie have to do with photosynthesis?
Libby's famous Pumpkin Pie Recipe:
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
Sugar is found in the tissues of most plants mostly in sugarcane or sugar beet.
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Cinnamon comes from the bark of a tree called cinnamomum.
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Salt is a mineral so it was never living. This the only ingredient that doesn't have to do with photosynthesis.
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
Ginger comes from a ginger root.
1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
Cloves are flower buds of a tree. The clove tree is an evergreen.
2 large eggs
Eggs are from chickens. Chickens eat weeds, plants, veggies and lots more.
1 can of Libby's 100% pure pumpkin
Pumpkins are from a seed. It's a plant.
1 can of Nestle Carnation evaporated milk
Milk comes from cows and cows eat grass and other plants.
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
Flour is in a pie crust and that is wheat. Butter or lard is in pie crust and butter comes from cows and cows eat grass and other plants and lard is from pigs and pigs eat plants and veggies. There is also salt in pie crust but salt is a mineral so it was never living.
Whipped cream is a dairy product so it's also from cows and cows eat grass and other plants.
