Reinvigorate Recycling

Over 1000 pounds of LOCAL PRODUCE has been put into the hands of 3000 students & their families

2 more schools started their own breakfast programs with
FUTP60 Kick Off Assemblies featuring
Dairy Max & Denver Broncos!

3 schools began 

their Food Share Tables to reduce food waste in the cafeteria & combat hunger! 

Skyline High School's Ecological Club wanted to stop using styrofoam in the cafeteria. Since their initiative began,Skyline has saved 3000 styrofoam lunch trays from going to landfill!

Wellness in the Classroom

Farm to School 

Longmont High Students learned about the difference between local, organic, and conventional agriculture and farming methods. 

Thanks to Ollin Farm and Aspen Moon Farms, students sampled locally-grown produce and gained understanding why it is important to know your farmer!

Mead Elementary Students were our featured school to celebrate Colorado Agriculture with complimentary salad bar, education on why it is important to eat healthy and stay active, as well as samplings of Colorado produce!

Mountain View Elementary's Parent Leadership Group, Cafecito, learned how to Eat More Fruits & Vegetables on a Budget!

Wellness in Action!

St. Vrain Wellness had the privilege of attending and moderating at the first annual LiveWell Talk & Taste event on October 9th! We discussed food waste in the district, the programs wellness is implementing to combat it, and the impact it is making in our schools!

Kitchen Managers & Supervisors

Attended a LIveWell Leadership Training  to address many aspects of management, including reducing food waste and increasing their skills to provide more scratch cooking to our students.
