A data center is such a place where the companies or organizations keep their essential data in a rightful way. But, the way of keeping data is different for different companies or firms. So, there are so many internationally recognized Data Center Standards available and these standards were developed on the basis of business functionality or size. If you want to design your own data center you will need to follow those standards.

ISO standard is applicable to data center operations and maintenance processes. But, not all data center processes are covered by this standard including financial management, equipment life cycle planning, and many more.

Data Centre Operations Standard or DOS takes part in covering the full spectrum of processes to operate and manage a data center by maintaining proper discipline.

TIMS stands for Tiered Infrastructure Maintenance Standards that focus on maintenance and operations, but it does not cover business continuity, finance, and other sections.
