We celebrate the past to awaken the future.

From the Desk of the President
Developmental educators in North Carolina and nationwide are in a fight for our professional lives. Through current and future legislative mandates, it is evident that this battle has just merely begun. One important factor in these troubling times for Developmental Education nationally is that we stick together. Join NADE and add your voice to the conversation or contact your local representative to express your opinion about the importance of Developmental Education in our state.
As the current President of NCADE, I would like to think of NCADE as a shining beacon of hope to help guide us all forward toward a time when we are appreciated for what we do once again. NCADE will hold our Fall Conference October 1 and 2 at the Sheraton Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, so please consider presenting there to tell us about the great things that you are doing in DRE and DMA on your campus. If we do not speak out about our successes, how will people ever know about all the positive lessons which are learned in Developmental Education classrooms across North Carolina each and every day? It will also be very important to attend this Fall’s conference to learn more about the changes and how we can have a voice. I look forward to seeing you all in Greensboro in October.
