What is The Giving Challenge?
The Giving Challenge is an online 'giving event' benefiting Non-Profit Agencies serving Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee & DeSoto Counties.
What is it?
The 2015 Giving Challenge will take place September 1 from noon until September 2 at noon.
When is it?
We provide financial assistance for child care services.  Families who are low income and either working or attending school may be eligible for services.  Families experiencing at-risk situations such as homelessness or domestic violence may also qualify with a referral from a partner agency.
School Readiness
The Voluntary Prekindergarten Program is FREE to Florida children who will be four years old by September 1st.  Families are certified for services through the ELCFH.  All services are provided through local child care providers who are contracted with the ELCFH.
Child Care Resource & Referral - Parents know what's best for their child! The ELCFH helps families know what to look for and questions to ask when looking for child care.   Free customized searches minimize the stress of looking for child care.
We Need You!
We have children in Charlotte and DeSoto counties in low income, working families that need quality child care.  Our wait lists grow each day.  We need your help to get more children off our wait list and into quality Child Care Centers!
Our Mission
To support families and children in accessing high quality care and education services via School Readiness and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten programs.  The ELCFH also serves as a point of access to resource and referrals for health care and family support.
Investing in Children Investing in our Future
Thank you!
If it wasn't for ELCFH I wouldn't be able to go to school or work.  Thank you all for your help!  I am about to graduate at the end of this year with an Associates of Science in Medical Assisting. ~Michelle As a single mother of 3, the Early Learning Coalition has helped me afford childcare for my kids. Making it possible for me to work full-time & provide for them.  Also, they have given my kids the opportunity to learn & socialize at an early age in a great environment.  Thank you for blessing us in our every day life! ~Jennifer

Real Life Stories
I just want to start off by saying thank you so much for the funding.  It has helped me in so many ways!  I am a single parent trying to provide a better life for my kids than I had.  I am currently going to school and trying to work to support and provide for my kids.  The funding helps a lot because I am able to do what I have to without struggling to find care for my kids.  ~Jessica I would not have the ability to care for my grandchildren if it wasn't for ELCFH! ~Keri
