Methodology: Each previous AP Human Geography FRQ are categorized based upon their verb prompts. Tallies for each prompt are color-coded into verb "families," i.e. explain, define. If part "A" of the FRQ asked for "three examples," then three are tallied to the total. When a question simply asks a student to "identify," it sits alone in its own category. However, when asked to "identify and explain," it is tallied as a high-order question in the "Explain" category since multiple points are awarded for high-order questions.
